Coordinator 101 Review

02.18.20

On January 27-29th, Carina Soriano, CCFC's Co-Coordinator attended the Coordinator 101 training in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. This national exchange of ideas for consideration was a good chance to network and exchange best practices among new coalitions and coordinators with a few coordinators having prior experience to working with the Clean Cities program or similar industry. A few key efforts arose from the training that CCFC will focus on in 2020.

These include:

  • stakeholder (re)-engagement, ensuring that we are listening to and assisting our stakeholders in their own projects as best as possible while adding to our stakeholder base;
  • better concise and quicker communication about funding and research opportunities available from DOE and other sources;
  • and finally potentially tackling more technical partnership projects, such as hosting or finding partners to host tech trainings, which has been identified as a need within our region.

This experience left Carina fired up and ready to tackle more for the CCFC and our stakeholders. If there is anything we can assist with, or you are interested in the tech trainings, please let us know! We want to know if there is a great enough need to move forward with this idea. Please contact Carina Soriano at csoriano [at] centralina [dot] org for further details.
